The following general information is provided to assist parents and caregivers of currently enrolled students.

Weipa Campus has several channels of communication between school and home.  These include Telephone, email, newsletters, Parent teacher evenings.

Parents who are concerned about any aspect of their child's life at school, should make an appointment to speak to the classroom teacher. 

Messages to students

• Messages are delivered to students during the day only in the case of an emergency.
• It is sometimes difficult to locate individual students during recess and/or lunchtimes.
• Students may use the school phones in important and / or urgent circumstances.  This request is through the front office staff.
• Students are not permitted to use mobile phones whilst at school

Visits to students

• Western Cape College does not permit social visits to students on school premises
• All visitors to the school must present themselves to the office where arrangements to contact a student can be made. 

 Updating details

To enable Western Cape College to maintain contact with parents, generally, or in the case of an emergency, it is important that current contact details are available.  Several times a year we will provide a summary of the details we currently hold for parents to check.  All parents are asked to ensure any changes to residential and postal addresses, phone numbers, or email contact information is updated regularly.
