WCC Wall of recognition
A vital resource of Western Cape College is our volunteers. Volunteers not only provide support but contribute to many education programs, events support and administrative roles. Their capability and commitment enhances our capacity to ensure our students are learning in an environment conducive to positive outcomes. Through their actions, volunteers also contribute to the greater well-being of the community.
The assistance that these volunteers provide across a range of activities would not be possible without the valuable support of employers from across all sectors of the business community, as well as the assistance from self-employed volunteers. This support is not unnoticed.
Every day volunteers offer their energy and enthusiasm to add value and make a difference to communities. Western Cape College is committed to ensuring that their efforts are recognised and appreciated by the wider school community that benefit from their work.
The Western Cape College Wall of Recognition will induct one person annually to recognise and value their contribution. Volunteers are nominated by other members of the school community and a panel administers the process. A bronze plaque is presented to the winner at annual function and is permanently affixed to a concrete wall outside the Weipa Campus Performing Arts Centre.
