Weipa preschool operates two full day sessions from 8:30am until 2:30pm, five days per fortnight.

ATTENDANCE

 Red Group attends Monday, Tuesday and Alternative Wednesday.  Blue Group attends Alternative Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The preschool has a strong affiliation with other centres in the Weipa area, which include Mapoon Preschool, Weipa C & K and Napranum C & K.  Joining together for such events as Under 8�s Day, Wet Day and Fun Days.  We welcome mums, dads, grandparents other family members and caregivers to attend these special events.

 A message from our teacher:

This preschool is for your child.  The centre is committed to providing a developmentally appropriate education to a high standard.  Preschool is a learning place, where children come together in a friendly and attractive learning environment.  They are supported and guided by people who understand and care.  Preschool is an exciting new world, of things to do and to share. 

A place for your child to learn and grow - a happy place with children, parents, teachers and visitors working cooperatively together to form a learning/playing partnership.  Preschool is a vital link between the home, community and year one.

HOME is the child�s most important influence where the fundamental ideas, attitudes and skills are learned.  At PRESCHOOL we hope to provide experiences which build on and extend home experiences.  Because children vary in their level of development, there will be a wide range of activities to suit their individual needs.
