Term 2 saw the first student art exhibition to be held in the new art building. The exhibition was entitled "So Far" and highlighted the work that had been completed in the beginning of 2006 and coincided with the visit of the Minister for Education, the official openning of the new buildings and the Croc Fest Writer's Camp Finale.
The show certainly revealed the versatility of the new art spaces, being easily adapted to a showcase venue and has set a new standard for art exhibitions at the college in the future.
The exhibition itself included work from students in grades 7 to 12 as well as work from TAFE students. Surrealist drawings, abstract paintings, photography, logos, perspective drawings, lino and screen prints as well as large scale human figure works were all on display.
Thankyou to all involved and all those who took advantage of the opportunity to bring their classes through to have a look. The event was a lovely success, keep a look out for the second exhibition in Term 4.
