Don Anderson - College Director Personal I started at Childers State School forty-five years ago and have remained with Education Queensland ever since. I've followed a traditional career after teaching at Bundaberg West being Principal at Milford, Yorke Island, Elliott Beach, Lockhart River, Logan Reserve, Aurukun, Edge Hill and Cairns West. My wife Jan and daughters Anita and Lisa have appreciated the opportunity to see so much of Queensland, I think. Role As College Director I attempt to keep my eye on the future. This demands systems being in place and leaders and their teams have clarity of role and purpose. I intend the Western Cape College being the school of choice for all youth of Western Cape York to complete year 12 and enter employment or tertiary education. Current focus Having recently returned from an acting role in the Torres Strait I am busy catching up with the developments that have taken place over the last few months. Tony Fuller was the Director while I was away and I am most appreciative of the great work achieved by Tony and his teams. I have two major issues this term. The first is the completion of our triennial review and the second is to lead a consultation process in regard to the future of the Napranum Campus of Western Cape College..
