Jenny Russell - Registrar Weipa Campus Personal My career with Education Queensland began in 1991 in the role of teacher aide at the Karumba State School, progressing to working in school libraries and then into the administration stream. Through my husband's work, we have travelled around Queensland living and working in areas such as Townsville, Roma, Cairns, Karumba, Thursday Island and for the last seven and a half years in Weipa. My husband and I, along with our two children love the life style that North Queensland has to offer. Role As the Registrar of the Weipa Campus, a critical focus of this role is to provide corporate services advice to the school management team and organise the effective and efficient delivery of these services which support the educational management activities of this school. Current Issues Due to the many organisational and staffing changes in the office, my current focus is to support and build my current team so that we can provide a first class standard of service to staff, students, parents and community members. This can only come about through leadership, communication, goal setting and training. |
