Macquarie Net

Macquarie Net provides a unique blend of Australian and international reference works. Its database searches encyclopaedias, articles, dictionaries, images, atlases and news items from AAP. All teachers and students can access Macquarie Net at school. Just go to the Curriculum Exchange at http://education.qld.gov.au/tal/curriculum_exchange/ and click on Macquarie Net. No password is required.

Guidelines

Guidelines is an index to journals and is integrated into the Resource Centre catalogue, therefore a catalogue search also searches Guidelines. WCC Resource Centre can provide access to several of the indexed journals. If not available, the school can usually access the required article via the Periodical Centre for Schools at Access Ed in a matter of days.

Magazines Online

A number of journals provide some free full text material. Check the links to view some of these sites. In general, journals are more likely to provide some of their older content free of charge - but there are a few electronic journals which are available.
